À propos de l'événement
se·ren·i·ty (n): the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled
Sounds impossible today, right? With the world getting more dystopian by the day, there is an inherent need to relax and forget the stresses and pressures around us and our lives. Serenity is letting go of fear and anger, when things are out of control, like right now. It doesn’t matter who we are, what color we are, what our beliefs are, or where we live. We’re hurting. We’re more divided than ever before, and the chaos and pain around us hurts us all. How about serenity to help us endure through the situations we face without panicking? How about allowing us to tolerate life on life's terms? Serenity is Deeksha School of Performing Arts’ humble call to action - to the power of peace and calmness that is much need in our lives. To the need to bring order and a sense of normalcy in the otherwise chaotic world that we live in today. To search for inner peace while we and the world around us move on at breath neck pace. This production uses a single prayer as a backdrop for the recital. One that compacts grace, serenity, courage, wisdom and connects it to one of the central conundrums of life: What can we shape and what can't we? When do we push ahead and when do we just accept where we're at? How do we find our inner peace and how do we get back living today, doing the normal things, believing in the supreme above, placing our trust in him/her and living with serenity?
