SUNIDHI GURUDUTT Sunidhi Gurudutt has been passionate about the performing arts since childhood. She began her Bharatanatyam training at the age of 13 under the guidance of Guru Vidushi Smt. Deepa Bhat at Nrithya Kuteera, Bengaluru, India. Sunidhi has successfully completed her Junior, Senior, and Vidwat examinations with distinction, and is a gold medalist of the Master’s Degree in Dance from Jain University, Bengaluru. She is a proud recipient of prestigious scholarships awarded by both the Karnataka Sangeeta Nritya Academy and the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT). Sunidhi’s Arangetram, held on February 24th, 2019, received widespread acclaim from critics and audiences alike. Her solo performances include notable productions such as Kanasu, Nrithyadhare, Tribute to Indian Armed Forces, Udaya Raaga (presented by the Horticulture Department), Sattva Purandara, and Ankura Festival, among others. In addition to her Bharatanatyam practice, Sunidhi has trained in Nattuvangam under Vidwan Sri. Somashekhar Jois and studied Carnatic music for 11 years under Vidushi Smt. Shubhaprada. She has also been mentored in theatre by artists associated with Ninasam. Her Master’s thesis, titled ‘Adaptability of Kumaravyasa Bharata to Bharatanatyam’, was highly appreciated for its scholarly insight. Currently, Sunidhi is undergoing teacher training at KCDC under the mentorship of Kassiyet, demonstrating a strong commitment to both teaching excellence and performance artistry. She considers herself deeply honored to practice the exquisite art of Bharatanatyam and to be part of the revered Guru-Shishya Parampara.

BAY AREA ADAVU In July 2021, Kassiyet, alongside Sharanya Pranav, co-founded the Bay Area Adavu Community, a collective aimed at bringing Bharatanatyam dancers in the Bay Area together to practice, connect, and foster a vibrant dance community. This initiative was created to provide a platform for dancers to engage in regular practice sessions, celebrate the art form, and strengthen the bonds within the local Bharatanatyam community. Since its inception, the Bay Area Adavu Community has hosted numerous events, workshops, and performances, actively engaging local Bharatanatyam dancers and enthusiasts. The community has also taken steps to bridge generations by inviting senior artists to lead masterclasses, share their expertise, and interact with the Indian diaspora living in the United States. Through these efforts, the Bay Area Adavu Community has become a cornerstone for preserving and promoting Bharatanatyam in the region, inspiring dancers and audiences alike.
