I started learning from Kassi after a 30 year break from dance. I did not know if I could even get my balance to do the basic adavus. Was also skeptical about taking classes online, and as a group. However, within 4 months I am amazed at how far I have come.

I have not only improved my form and endurance but also learning about the nuances of the art form that I never learned before. Am also amazed about how Kassi catches your mistakes and pays attention to details even on camera !! This is the best decision I have made for myself.

Learning Bharatanatyam with Kassiyet has been an incredible experience. I had been following her on Instagram and was always captivated by her graceful style and precise technique. When she started online classes, I jumped at the opportunity to learn from her.

From the very first class, it was clear that Kassiyet is not only a gifted dancer but also a dedicated and thoughtful teacher. She’s incredibly attentive to each student, no matter where they are in their dance journey. I initially began training with her on a very challenging piece, a varnam, but I quickly felt I wasn’t doing it justice. Sensing this, Kassiyet thoughtfully guided us back to the basics, focusing on mastering the adavus and developing a deeper understanding of talam. That shift will give me the clarity and control I need to perform the piece with confidence and grace.

Her focus on building a strong foundation through the basic adavus has helped me reconnect with the essence of Bharatanatyam and understand the importance of mastering the fundamentals before moving into repertoire.

Her classes are structured yet inspiring, and she creates a space that motivates you to grow with each session. It’s a joy to be learning from someone so committed to both the tradition and the individual progress of each student. 

I restarted my Bharatanatyam journey with Kassiyet after a long break, and honestly I’m so glad I did! She had mentioned the classes would be rigorous, and they are, but exactly what I needed to get back in shape. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to train under her guidance. I now genuinely look forward to every class. In such a short time, I’ve noticed a big improvement in my stamina, and more importantly, my love for the art has been rekindled. What I truly appreciate is how observant Kassi is, she provides individual feedback after every session, which helps us grow and refine our practice. She really focuses on our overall growth, from warm-ups and basics to helping us understand the thought behind each choreography. Her guidance not only improves our technique but also helps us express better. The new choreographies we learn are both beautiful and engaging. It’s been such a fulfilling journey!
